No show policy (Consultations)

The UBC Library Research Commons requires 24-hours notice to cancel a consultation appointment. (This includes Thesis Formatting, Citation Management, NVivo, R, Python, and SPSS consultations.) By not showing for your appointment, you disregard the time our Graduate Peers have set aside for you, and you deny other students the opportunity to utilize this service.

Failure to attend a Research Commons consultation appointment without providing 24-hours notice will result in the forfeiture of future consultations with any of our UBC Library Research Commons employees for the remainder of the academic term. When booking your appointments, please carefully consider your workload and schedule, so that everyone’s time can be used optimally.

Thank you for your understanding.
